Software Architecture Analysis Method (SAAM) Capture Tool

Purpose:

The SAAM Capture Tool (SCT) provides interactive automated support for capturing the rationale and artifacts created during a SAAM session.

Description:

The SAAM Capture Tool (SCT) is based upon the technology being developed as part of Classroom 2000. Using liveboard software, a pen interface and audio recordings, a SAAM interactive session can be recorded and a history of the architecture rationale and consensus information can be captured. Information gathered with SCT can be exported to the SAAM General Architecture Toolkit via ACME and the MORALE architectural repository.

This prototype toolset is currently under development. The basic GUI interface to the toolkit and a limited version of the architectural visualizer/editor should be also be available in Jan 98.

Operating System Dependencies:

The SAAM Toolkit is being developed in Java and should run on all Java-enabled platforms.

Any JAVA-enabled platform.
