Conte Named Editor-in-Chief of ACM Publication

May 3, 2009

Professor Tom Conte of the School of Computer Science has been named editor-in-chief of the ACM Transactions on Architecture and Code Optimization (TACO). Conte’s term began April 16 and will last three years. According to the publication’s website, TACO “focuses on hardware, software, and system research spanning the fields of computer architecture and code optimization. Articles that appear in TACO will either present new techniques and concepts or report on experiences and experiments with actual systems. Insights useful to architects, hardware or software developers, designers, builders, and users will be emphasized.” Conte takes over the position from Brad Calder and Dean Tulsen, both computer scientists from the University of California, San Diego.
