About Me

I attained mortal form on the 21st of September 1980 in the Indian capital of Delhi. Since then my life has been relatively nomadic. I lived in 7 cities all over India during my schooling days and then spent some of my most enjoyable days to date in the small north Indian town of Roorkee, working towards a B.Tech in CS at IIT-Roorkee. This, in due course of time, I received in the summer of 2002 and now here I am  - a Ph.D student at Gatech.

My hobbies include reading and classical music (both Indian and Western). I am a big science fiction and military history buff. I am also a devoted Calvin and Hobbes fan, which is by far the best comic strip ever made (in my unbiased opinion)! However, I am not completely sedentary. I like to play racquetball and tennis when I feel like running around, or more gentlemanly games like billiards and cricket when I feel otherwise. I also love to travel whenever time and money permit me to.

Here is a categorized list of books that I have read, enjoyed, re-read, and re-enjoyed!
