Research Interests

Wenrui's research interests are in networking and distributed systems in emerging computing environments. He is interested in the development of networked services and systems that are efficient, robust and manageable for these diverse and pervasive environments. In particular, he is interested in:

  • Network architectures, protocols and services for emerging computing environments.
  • Delay/disruption tolerant networks, including applications in disaster relief and vehicular environments.
  • Networking and systems issues in future wireless mesh networks.
  • Mobile computing systems.
Wenrui's thesis work is on routing and network design in delay/disruption tolerant networks (DTNs), which aims to address the issues of capacity limitations and data delivery in these networks. His work has focused on message ferrying and multicasting in DTNs.
