Biography

Tom Pilsch is Assistant Dean for Students and Associate Director of the Division of Computing Instruction, College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology.   He leads a team responsible for providing quality support for the College's instructional mission.   From 1997 to 2003 he served as the College's Assistant Dean for Continuing Education and Special Programs. 

His professional interests include strategic planning, leadership development, aircraft operations and design, and the history of war. 

Tom teaches a series of courses on Technology & War for the Sam Nunn School of International Affairs.

He also lectures on the history of Air Operations in the Vietnam War.

Prior to joining the College of Computing, Tom served nearly 30 years on active duty with the United States Air Force and retired with the rank of Brigadier General.
