Calton Pu is the Principle Investigator for Infosphere. He is a Professor and John P. Imlay Jr Chair in Software in the College  of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests are in the areas of distributed computing and operating systems.

His research interests lie in the intersection between Software Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction. Specifically, Dr. Abowd is interested in ubiquitous computing (ubicomp) and the research issues involved in building and evaluating ubicomp applications that impact our everyday lives.

Antonio Baptista is Director of the Center for Coastal and Land-Margin Research, and a Professor in the Environmental Science and Engineering at Oregon Graduate Institute. His research interests are in nowcast-forecast methods and computational models for hydraulic transport.

Koichi Moriyama is a visiting engineer from Sony Corp. The initial statement of the project's theme was systematic refinement of systems software by using the specialization technique. From that viewpoint, he got involved in the Infosphere project, and has spent all his efforts to build the first prototype of the Infopipe abstraction and its toolkit. He's the in the lower right in the picture.
