Just a little biographical information:  My undergrad degree was in English and Sociology (yes, I'm a humanities geek) at North Georgia College.  My MS is in Student Counseling for higher education, and I obtained that from Kansas State University (we are not the Jayhawks and we don't wear blue, we're the Wildcats and wear purple!).  I have two beautiful daughters, Laura (8) and Kelly Rose (5), and Ooooing and ahhhhhing at their photos will always work as a small bribe.   I also grew up a Detroit area sports fan, so if you are the same, feel free to come share your pain any time.

For those who might be interested, my professional passions in Student Affairs include assessment of student services programs, taking that assessment and instituting actual changes from the results, working with faculty to create a seamless operation between the classroom/lab and the administrative functions, and establishing collaborative and complementary relationships within and tertiary to the department.

Someday, I hope to finish my second MS in Sociology by actually completing my thesis.  Sad but true, everything was ready for implementation before I got distracted by real life.

I am a 12 year survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, also known as Hodgkin’s Disease.  People would say, “At least it isn’t cancer.”  Uhhhh, yeah, it is.  If you know someone who has HD, or has just been diagnosed with cancer, you may wish to look at my ancient, badly in need of an update, yet still useful Hodgkin’s web pages.  Over 100,000 visitors can’t be all wrong:
