(Geometric and Visual Computing)

The exam will have two parts:

Each candidate will have to answer 4 out of 6 questions that either cover general issues that pertain to the overall G&V field or focus on specific modeling or graphic techniques that are used by practitioners in most G&V sub-areas.

  • SUB-AREA QUESTIONS
  • Each student will have to select 2 sub-areas amongst the ones listed below and will have to answer 2 out of 4 questions in each sub-area.

    SUB-AREAS:

      1. Animation (Coordinating faculty: Irfan Essa)
      2. Modeling and Geometric Computing (Coordinating faculty: Jarek Rossignac)
      3. Rendering (Coordinating faculty: Greg Turk)
      4. Virtual and Augmented Reality (Coordinating faculty: Blair McIntyre)
      5. Perception (Coordinating faculty: Irfan Essa)
      6. Visualization (Coordinating faculty: Bill Ribarsky) 

    During both sessions, students will be allowed to use books, notebooks, computers, and Internet resources. They will not be allowed to ask anyone for help, whether in person, by phone, by Email or any other means.
