I-20 Information for International Students
- Any student on an I-20 who changes from the master's program to the
doctoral program in your school/college needs a new I-20.
- An F-1 student going from special non-degree to degree-seeking needs
a new I-20.
- An F-1 student changing majors (and therefore program) needs a new I-20.
- An F-1 student transferring to Georgia Tech from another U.S.
university needs a new I-20.
- An F-1 student going from undergrad to grad at Georgia Tech needs a new
I-20.
- An F-1 graduate student who is readmitted may need a new I-20.
All of the above should be requested from Graduate Academic and
Enrollment Services. Their phone number is 4-1610.
- A student whose old I-20 is expiring also needs a new I-20, even if
the I-94/visa is still current. This new I-20 for program extension
will be prepared by the Office of International Education (formerly
ISSP). Please contact them for more information at 4-7475.
