Robin Thomas Earns Distinction, Named Regents' Professor

In granting him the title of Regents’ Professor, the University System of Georgia’s Board of Regents have added School of Mathematics Professor Robin Thomas to its list of the state’s premier educators. Faculty promoted to the rank of Regents’ Professor are recognized as the University System’s intellectual and educational leaders.

Schwan Named Computing's 6th Regents' Professor

Karsten Schwan has been named a Regents' Professor by the University System of
Georgia Board of Regents.

Schwan, who joined the Georgia Tech computer science faculty in 1988, directs the Center for Experimental Research in Computer Systems (CERCS) in the College of Computing. Now the College's sixth Regents' Professor, he is a member of the School of Computer Science's systems research group, working in high performance, real-time and ubiquitous applications.
