$MacMOOSE_utils
Why use a server protocol?
MacMOOSE version 2.0 and higher (and all versions of WinMOOSE)
use a special server protocol to enable their
advanced editing features. Earlier versions of MacMOOSE parsed input from
LambdaCore functions originally designed as user interface commands. This
caused a number of problems. If any of those user interface functions was
modified, the client would not work. Output from separate functions was
segregated using MOO's prefix/suffix capability; however, you can not use
prefixes and suffixes if your code needs to suspend. Using a special server
protocol has enabled us to significantly increase MacMOOSE's robustness and
reliability.

Where should I send bug reports?
Bug reports should be sent to bug-macmoose@cc.gatech.edu. Please include
in your report:
- The version of $MacMOOSE_utils you are using.
- A transcript of the client/server interaction. (Open the transcript
window and repeat the buggy transaction.)
- The version of MacMOOSE or WinMOOSE.
- The model Macintosh or PC.
- The version of MacOS or Windows.
- On the Mac, if you get thrown into the Macintosh debugger, please send us the
contents of the stack. Type "log filename" and then "sc6". If that
doesn't work, try "sc7". Include that file in your bug report.
