Alenka joined School of Computer Science at
Georgia Tech as a visiting assistant professor in 2010. From 2009 to 2010, she
was awarded Naval Research Laboratory Fellowship by ASEE and NRL to conduct
research in underwater communications/networking. She received the Ph.D. degree
from School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Georgia Tech and the B.Sc.
and M.Sc. degrees from the School of Electrical Engineering, University of
Belgrade. From 2001 to 2003, she was a design engineer for Skyworks Solutions
Inc., Fremont, CA. Her research interests span areas of wireless
communications/networking, signal processing, and applied electromagnetics. She
received the Best Paper Award at ICT 2008, the Best Student Paper Award at WCNC
2007, and was also the recipient of the Dan Noble Fellowship in 2004, awarded by
Motorola Inc. and IEEE Vehicular Technology Society for quality impact in the
area of vehicular technology.
