(NB: This is fairly non-specific, as I am still early in my PhD studies.) I am specializing in Systems, which many years ago meant kernels and operating systems, but today includes the middleware required to support a system of any size. As such, it touches on networking and AI a lot for distributed or self-managing systems, as well as a host of other topics. So far, I don't have a more specific interest within this field.
WorldTravel - We are constructing a service-oriented architecture (SOA) testbed for use in future research. The goal is to create an expandable, multi-purpose benchmark for simulating many-tiered systems which can be easily modified as part of many research projects.
