I recently completed my Ph.D. in Computer Science at Georgia Tech under the advisement of two incredible researchers, Nina Balcan and Le Song. My research focused mainly on theoretically sound algorithms for active learning and on demonstrating that active learning can be used to overcome a variety of obstacles in machine learning. Previously, I received my B.S. in Computer Science from Caltech where I was an undergraduate researcher in the DNA and Natural Algorithms Group and worked on tools for DNA sequence design.
Now I am working full-time at Oncora Medical, a digital health company I co-founded last fall with my good friend from high school, David Lindsay. Oncora's mission is to improve the quality and cost of radiation therapy treatments by applying state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to historical medical record data.
This is my CV as of August 2015.
