learners learn science in the context of designing working devices.
- Developing a Case Library using ActionScript 2.0 that will scaffold
the process of learning the science content, promote explanation capabilities, and promote

- Assisted researchers with the CREATE project (Center for Research
and Education on Aging

- Developed an interface using ActionScript 3.0 that allowed
researchers to run instructional media and then update a log
file with all the necessary usability statistics.
- Programmed the iCat Robot so that its interaction with older
adults can be observed and recorded.

Social Learning of Object Affordances in robots

- Human-Robot Interaction project where we investigated the
role of a social partner in learning affordances by using an
upper torso humanoid having 8 degrees of freedom (created out of
parts from the Bioloid Robotics Kit).

- The Aware Chair - a neurally-controlled wheelchair that provided
environmental control and communications based on contextual information such as who was in
the room, time of day, user habits and routines, and a conversational history
