Research Interests
I am interested in helping people to interact with information. Therefore I am a student of HCI and pervasive computing. I am fascinated by advancing the modern GUI, and so I have done work with developing novel window managers. One of my longer term interests relates to using handheld or wearable mobile computing to augment human associative memory. Similarly, I want to make computing more accessible during real time, real world human-to-human interactions. Not simply through smaller, better devices, but through interfaces that are sufficiently context-aware, fast and simple to use in those day to day situations. Combine the two, and maybe you get a computer that could help you win a debate. How else would such a device be useful? These are some of the questions and areas I am interested in exploring.
