What's New

New research assistant positions: I am looking for three creative PhD students that are interested in the following research projects. All three are highly cross-disciplinary, outside the mainstream, and they involve innovative use of modeling, measurement, simulation and other research tools. If you are a new PhD student (as of Fall'09), please contact me for more details.

I am teaching a graduate seminar on: Network Science: Methods and Applications in Fall'09.

One-Click Hosting Services: A File-Sharing Hideout, with Demetris Antoniades and Evangelos Markatos. To appear in the Proceedings of the ACM SIGCOMM Internet Measurement Conference (IMC), November 2009.

Multipath Load-Adaptive Routing: Putting the Emphasis on Robustness and simplicity, with Amund Kvalbein and Chidambaram Muthu. To appear in the Proceedings of the IEEE International Conference on Network Protocols (ICNP), October 2009.

On the scalability of BGP: the roles of topology growth and update rate-limiting , with A.Elmokashfi and A.Kvalbein. In the Proceedings of the ACM CoNext conference, Madrid, December 2008.

Spectral Probing, Crosstalk and Frequency Multiplexing in Internet Paths, with Partha Kanuparthy. In the Proceedings of the ACM SIGCOMM Internet Measurement Conference (IMC), October 2008.

Ten Years in the Evolution of the Internet Ecosystem, with Amogh Dhamdhere. In the Proceedings of the ACM SIGCOMM Internet Measurement Conference (IMC), October 2008.

Who I am, What I do. On a similar tone, how do you distinguish a researcher from a salesman?
