Here's a partial list of conferences, symposia, and other meetings I
care about.
NIPS: The Neural Information
Processing Systems conference is held annually in Vancouver, Canada in
December. It's still one of my favorite conferences: a must-attend for
machine learning researchers. I have been NIPS workshop co-chair in
the past.
AAMAS: The
Conference on Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (often just
called Agents for various reasons) is held annually in different parts
of the world (and has different URLs every year, too, so pardon me if
this link is out of date). They worry about big problems and you have
to appreciate that.
ICML:
The International Conference on Machine Learning is held annually in
different places. Some of the same folks attend ICML as NIPS, though
it does have a slightly different character. Again the URL may be out
of date as it changes every year.
Workshop on Activity Recognition and Discovery at NIPS 2004: a
workshop led by Irfan Essa and Dieter Fox. I sort of stood next to
Irfan while he helped organize it.
AAAI 2002 Fall Symposium on Personalized Learning
Agents: a symposium I organized for November 2002. Includes links
for papers and talks. Michael Littman deserves an enormous thank you
from me for helping me with this when I suddenly tore my retina.
