SELECTED RESEARCH PROJECTS 
1) Connection Manager - A multi-transport messaging middleware
I added a firewall support for that library, measured and compared the performance of the different options for setting up format servers.
I am working on this project with Dr. Greg Eisenhauer and Professor Karsten Schwan at Center for Experimental Research in Computer Systems (CERCS), Georgia Institute of Technology.

2) User navigation for web searching
User navigation is a powerful, yet underused source of data. We apply user navigation to web searching, with the desire to reduce the number of URLs visited when searching. Our source of user navigation information is proxy logs. We tease out search sessions and topic sessions. A search session is the query, and the set of URLs that the user visited when searching. Topic sessions, which are groups of, search sessions on the same topic.
I worked on this project with Dr. Mark Hansen, Dr. Liddy Shriver and Dr. Duncan Temple Lang at Bell Labs, Lucent Technologies, Murray Hill, New Jersey.
