Welcome!
I pursue research in machine learning, computational statistics, and information visualization. Some of my application areas are text documents, ranked preference data, privacy preservation in databases and social networks, and modeling risks in computer security. I am also interested in analyzing financial, biological, and image data.
I completed my PhD in 2005 at Carnegie Mellon University (SCS) working with John Lafferty. I then joined Purdue University as an assistant professor (statistics and ECE). In August 2008 I joined Georgia Tech's College of Computing (CSE school) where I am currently an associate professor.
