I am a Ph.D. candidate in my fourth year of the Human-Centered Computing program at Georgia Tech. I am pursuing research that examines how technologies we build effect social change. This approach weaves elements of activist research and participatory design around the view that human-values are expressed through technical systems and artifacts. My aim is to understand the role technology plays as an agent of change within diverse communities and among a plurality of human-values. Built into this orientation is a commitment to understanding the multifarious ways technologies participate as actors in social discourse.
