Dartmore Institute
Involved: 2003 - 2004
The Dartmore Institution is a non-profit organization providing study abroad opportunities to U.S. university students. The institute was established in early 2003 and now plays host to students for 6 week to full semester study programs in Prague. Dartmore's focus is providing a close up look at central european history with Prague as the center piece for studying architecture, art, literature, and jewish history through the area.
I was contracted in 2003 after an earlier failed attempt to establish a professional and effective web presence. From the onset I worked with the directors and focused on bringing credibility to the program via clean web and print design. Establishing a brand and masthead that would help communicate stability to prospective students and sponsor universities was our first priority
At every stage I tested web designs and application forms with a small group of students and teachers from another local university. The final design was the result of iterating several design themes down to provide a clear organization that established the look and posture the board of directors wanted.
