I am a Ph.D. candidate in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech working with
Karsten Schwan. I received
my BS CS from Ga Tech in Spring 1993 and went into
industry for 10 years. I returned to Ga Tech in Fall
2002 and completed my MS CS degree in Spring 2004. My primary
research area is systems with an emphasis on
infrastructure enabling the construction of large-scale, complex, distributed
applications. In October 2004 I received the Excellence in Engineering Fellowship
from Sandia National Laboratories to work on
issues related to data access in next generation super computer architectures.
The particular project is
Scalable I/O Systems for High Performance Computing working with
Ron
Oldfield. In August 2006, I received the Georgia Tech President's Fellowship. My other computing interests include programming languages, software
engineering, and HCI. I am a member of both the ACM
and the IEEE. When I am on campus, I sit in the southwest
corner of KACB 3201. Because I live 40 miles north of campus in
Sugar Hill, GA, I work from home as
much as possible.
My main current work is the ADIOS - ADaptable IO System with Scott Klasky at NCCS hosted at Oak Ridge National Laboratory My coursework and current schedule. I have several hobbies that keep me busy outside of class time including free English tutoring for non-native speakers.
Here are some miscellaneous useful things I have. |
