Vice President of Engineering and Operations (1992 - 1993) Consolidated numerous customer-specific releases into a generic CTI (Computer Telephony Interface) product to redirect engineering efforts from predominantly maintenance to development. Initiated new programs based on LAN / WAN architecture that enabled company to leapfrog in the industry.

Vice President, Advanced Product Development (1991 - 1992) Created and established an Advanced Product Development program based on DS1/DS3 in network access connectivity for the corporation.

Vice President of Engineering (1987 - 1991) Directed the development of LAN/WAN internetworking and network management products. Produced first IP bridge/router with backplane capability of OC-3 data rate. Group was acquired by Racal-Milgo.
OSI NETWORK MANAGEMENT FORUM
Technical Director and Member of the Board of Trustees (1989 - 1990) Was elected as Board Technical Director. Coordinated the technical activities of 100 engineers from 14 international corporations in generating the first CIMIP/CMIS network management specifications on a tight schedule. Represented DCA / Racal-Milgo on this international consortium in addition to regular company operations activities.
BELLCORE / BELL LABS (prior to Bell System divestiture), New Jersey
District Manager, Bellcore / Supervisor, Bell Labs (1966 - 1987) At Bellcore, developed operations systems involving main frame and PCs, including a very large "system of systems", Work and Force Administration, that is deployed by all Bell Operating Companies (BOC) and in foreign countries. At Bell Labs managed research and development in the areas of software systems, T1 carrier system, and optical and microwave propagation.
PURDUE UNIVERSITY, West Lafayette, Indiana
Asst. Prof. of Electrical Engineering, and Consultant to Bell Laboratories (1964 - 1966) Established and headed Quantum Electronics Department. Conducted research in quantum electronics, lasers, and laser propagation. Taught graduate and undergraduate courses, and guided graduate research program. Initiated laser propagation project at Bell Labs that led to my joining them full time.
