I was a PhD student in the Systems area doing research on distributed and parallel simulations (I graduated in December 2002).  I worked for Dr. Fujimoto on the Federated Simulations project.  I now work in the Information Technology and Telecommunications Lab at the Georgia Tech Research Institute as a senior research scientist.  I am part of the Distributed Simulation Systems (DSS) group and the Modeling & Simulation Research and Education Center (MSREC), which I helped to create.

I have been involved in distributed system research for more than 19 years.  The focus of my research is parallel and distributed systems intermeshed with simulation applications.  My vision for the future is to explore the areas required to create the next generation of distributed simulation systems.  This includes distributed algorithms and execution, modeling and design, theory, and a range of applications.  Additionally, I want to explore the cultural impact of simulation in our society.
