About Me
I am a native of Atlanta, Georgia, and I’ve also been very fortunate to have numerous opportunities to live abroad. As an Officer in the United States Army for the past 18 years, I’ve had many interesting experiences: I led a tactical communications platoon in Korea; I commanded a Satellite Operations Center in Okinawa; and, I directed and monitored computer and communication networks in Germany (and throughout Europe) to provide military command and control capabilities, and to support Operation Iraqi Freedom.
I’m still on Active Duty with the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel. Currently, I’m assigned here at Georgia Tech to earn a Ph.D. in Computer Science. Afterwards, I’ll return to the Military Academy at West Point as an Assistant Professor to teach Computer Science, and share my experiences with the cadets. I’m very excited about this latest adventure in my life, and I’m enjoying my time here in the Ph.D. program!
