I started my PhD career in the Fall of 2006, at the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology. I work in the Design Intelligence Lab with my advisor, Ashok Goel.
My research lies at the intersection of creativity, analogical reasoning, multi-modal knowledge representation, and ambiguity in knowledge representation, illustrated most clearly by my study of the cognitive processes of biologically-inspired engineering design.
Originally from Chicago, my past careers include 6 years in marketing and strategic planning for a subsidiary of Zurich Financial, and 7 years as a business consultant with Teradata, a division of NCR.
