We are glad to see you are interested in doing research!

There are several ways to discover research opportunities.

  • Attend the UROC Job Fair, which we run twice a year, at the beginning of spring and fall semesters. At the fair, faculty members advertise research positions for undergraduate students. You can receive news about the UROC Job Fair by subscribing to the uroc-announce mailing list (see below).
  • Ask the instructor of a class in which you did or are doing well.
  • Have a look at the job postings on CareerBuzz.
  • Look for announcements on individual professors web pages, which is also an option, albeit a more time consuming one.
  • Talk to the UROC chair for your area of interest: Andrea Thomaz for Interactive Computing, Richard Vuduc for Computational Science and Engineering, and Alex Orso for core Computer Science.

In general, you can get updates about undergraduate research in the College by subscribing to uroc-announce: https://mailman.cc.gatech.edu/mailman/listinfo/uroc-announce

Good luck!
