COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course provides an introduction to the
key AI and intelligent systems issues involved in autonomous robot
development. It is
a "hands-on" class requiring the students to develop and
evaluate their own robot control systems.
We will survey the inspiration and motivation for autonomous
robot systems, the unique challenges in this field and the wide
range of solutions developed thus far. This course is appropriate
for graduate and advanced undergraduate students with strong
programming skills.
PREREQUISITE:
Strong programming skills.
Grading will be based on projects and tests as follows

Two exams and final: 40%
Homework: 10%
Projects and final project: 50%
