Get to know me

Hi, my name is Weiyun Huang, and my English nickname is "Cherry".

My hometown is Qingdao (a.k.a. Tsingtao), a nice sea-side city in North China. If you like beer you may have already heard of it. If you have chance to visit there in summer, don't forget to attend the Qingdao International Beer Festival!

I spent my undergraduate life in Xi'an Jiaotong University, then got a Master degree in Computer Science in Nanjing University. In 1999 I came to the U.S. and became a student of Washington State University and currently I am a PhD student of College of Computing, Georgia Tech. I love the places I have stayed and am very grateful for all the help I got from my dear friends.

For more details, esp. professional information, please email me for my resume.

Research Interests

My research interests include data mining, database systems and intelligent systems. I've been working on distributed clustering from heterogeneous data. Now I am mainly looking into novel association rule learning algorithms in database systems and distributed systems. I am also interested in data mining applications and systems in both traditional networks and wireless computing environment.
