I am a post-doc fellow in School of Computer Science, College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia. My mentor is Prof. Karsten Schwan. I obtained both PhD and MS degree in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University,Detroit, Michigan under Prof. Song Jiang.
I am interested in operating system, file and storage system, big data, and high performance computing. My research strives to bring us closer to the goal of highly efficient I/O service demanded by data-intensive scientific and engineering applications. My current focus is on management of data services in I/O staging area, scientific data sharing with cloud storage infrastructure, and map-reduce calculation on scientific data in metadata-rich file format.
