We use the follwing standard tools as our develeopment environment:
- c-compiler and linker (GNU-C, ...)
- debugger (gdb, xxgdb)
- JavaCC[9] (a java lex & yacc parser generator)
- bash, make (GNU or other)
- tar & gzip as our archive toolkit
