Project description structure

Your project description should include:

- Project title, your names, AND email addresses

- Project summary (one paragraph)

- Motivation: Why is this interesting and relevant to this course? (one paragraph)

- Objectives: What exactly do you want to do? I suggest you structure this as a list of questions. Make sure that your questions are clearly articulated. For example, asking "How does the FaceBook socian network look?" is not a scientific question. Asking "Is the FaceBook social network a scale-free graph?" is a good question.

- Methodology: How are you going to answer the previous questions? This is the description of your methodology. Be specific. What datasets will you need? How are you going to do your experiments? How are you going to analyze the results? This part should be roughly one page long.

- References: The five (or so) most related references, together with a short summary for each reference. Explain the connection between each reference and your project.

- Timeline: Make a REALISTIC plan. Include 2-3 milestones. Plan to finish the entire project by late November.

Of course feel free to include any additional information if you think it is important.
