Dear GT Computing Colleagues,
I know that we are all waiting on a fresh set of decisions around a variety of topics, including Summer and Fall terms. I don’t have anything new to report today because those discussions are still ongoing; however, I want to assure everyone that the College is very much taking part in those conversations and we will share results as soon as we can.
In the meantime, I’d like to encourage everyone in the College community to attend one of President Cabrera’s planned virtual town halls, where he and other decision-makers will share updates and answer questions. The first one is tomorrow morning. If you’d like to submit a question, please do so beforehand through email@example.com . These town halls are good opportunities for us to gather information and share our community's concern, so please take advantage of them.
Speaking of gathering information, I’d like to thank everyone who submitted their feedback on our chair search for the School of Computer Science. I read every bit of your feedback, and it has proven both informative and helpful.
Last but not least, we have another College coronavirus fighter to report on today, Ashok Goel. He is part of a project to use VERA, an interactive AI tool, to allow users to create and test conceptual models of the effect of social distancing. Well done to Ashok and his team!
Stay safe, and stay engaged.
