Dear GT Computing colleagues,
Just a quick note today as we enter into another week of online operation. We are still waiting for more information about the decision to take the summer term online, though it looks like the College of Computing will be able to offer nearly all of our planned courses. If you have a hankering to teach this summer, please reach out to David White as he’s collecting such offers.
In the meantime, I’d also like to ask everyone to address an older ongoing problem: data security. As you no doubt recall, the Institute has mandated that every one of us take its online course in Data Management: Security Fundamentals. If you haven’t already, please take it. You can access the course at the Institute’s HR training site, and complete it through Brightspace/D2L. I’ve done it myself, and it is neither difficult nor particularly time-consuming… even with a twelve year old who has recently discovered what a pun is and wants to share his new ideas about them every two or three minutes, even though Dad is on the computer and obviously busy, you adorable kid.
