That’s three Chair searches and three committees this year. Probably at this point, every one of you is on a search committee. Thank you for your service, and please join me in thanking the members of this committee for their hard work in choosing a new leader for the division and for the college.
In other news, we are also in the middle of a search for the inaugural Krishna A. Bharat Chair in Computational Journalism. So if you have connections in that world I encourage you to share the news.
While we’re sharing news, I’d also like to congratulate Jacob Abernethy (SCS) for his recent appearance in Wired talking about his use of computing and artificial intelligence to find lead pipes in Michigan. Good work, good news.
And there we go. I want to keep this short because I’m supposed to be paying attention to this all-day meeting, so I’m going to get back to it. Do enjoy the upcoming weekend. Take it easy, do something nice for yourself, and have the best weekend ever.
