Dear GT Computing community,

So apparently, it’s been about a year since I first sent you a message as Dean. Seems longer somehow, as if there have been a number of significant events in the intervening months. Whatever the case, it’s been an honor, and I look forward to continuing to be a part of this amazing community during the next year.
One thing about milestones, at least for me, is that they make for good excuses to take a moment to do a little less. It’s been a long Spring and the Summer is looking to be pretty long as well. I don’t know about you, but after wading through a water main break earlier this week, I am certainly looking forward to semi-dry long weekend. Might I suggest that we all take a break and enjoy this beautiful land of ours? It is one of our great strengths that we come from different places and backgrounds, but we still live together here and pursue a shared dream of opportunity and equality.
Is it Friday yet? I say it just about is, so please go have some hot fun… it’s the summertime.
Happy Fourth, everyone. Y'all stay safe.
Peace.
