Dear GT Computing community,
Hey, it’s Friday!
I am pleased to announce that we have a new Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, none other than our own David White. David is already serving as the Assistant Dean of Academic Operations and Administration *and* the Director of Academic Programs, so he brings centuries of experience to the role of Associate Dean. Please join me in welcoming him—and feel free to begin sending him email requests—and in thanking Beki Grinter for her efforts over the last year.
I’d also like to remind everyone once again that the College is requiring all faculty and staff to complete mandatory travel training in order to be reimbursed for any future travel expenses. Everyone has an individual, personal URL for the module (it’s how we track compliance). So please, search your inbox for an e-mail titled, “Required training for travel reimbursement,” and use the link you find in that e-mail to access the training.
The deadline is today, and the training takes very little time, so please take a moment. Having said that, given the current situation we find ourselves in post-storm, if you can’t do it today, please finish it before close of business Monday.
In the meantime, please enjoy a safe and sane Halloween this weekend with your family. Things look different this year, but if you’re the kind of person who enjoys this season I think you’ll find the ghosts and monsters are still a thrill.
