Dear GT Computing Colleagues,
I’ve been hearing concern from some of you who aren’t sure how to let the Institute know if they test positive for coronavirus, or if they know someone who has.
The Institute has a process set up for this. If you do test positive for coronavirus, please report it to firstname.lastname@example.org , or call the emergency management team within the Georgia Tech Police Department at 404-894-2500. If you have not tested positive, but you are ill or have been exposed to someone who are ill, please follow the guidelines shown in the infographic that the Institute distributed last week. You can find more information at the Institute’s coronavirus monitoring site.
Please also keep checking in with our college business continuity site. We continue to compile operations information there, along with links to Institute resources.
Well, we’re coming to the end of the second week of teleworking, and I am impressed at how much we’re getting done across the College. I’m also acutely aware that this is a harder way to do business for everyone. Please show extra patience and kindness to your coworkers during this time. Your colleagues are going through many of the same things you are, and some through things we do not know about. Remember: we’re all going through this together, and good manners matter now more than ever.
Best wishes to everyone for a peaceful, restful weekend. You are in my thoughts.
