I am a Computer Science Ph.D. student in the School of Interactive Computing at Georgia Tech. I work in the Social Dynamics and Wellbeing Lab, under the advisement of Dr. Munmun De Choudhury. I did my undergraduate in Computer Science and Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, and hold an overall industry research experience of about 5 years.
My research lies in the interdisciplinary domain of computational social science and its applications in precision medicine, working with real-world problems from natural language processing, machine learning, statistical modeling, and information retrieval. I am particularly interested in improvising techniques and solutions for improving health and wellbeing, ones which are robust and adaptable with the changing social dynamics. My current work involves complementing multi-modal sensing technologies with social media as a passive sensor for predicting and characterizing the attributes of mental wellbeing among individuals.
