Support

I'm currently supported by a GVU seed grant as a research assistant. I'm working with Dr. Bill Ribarsky and Dr. Neff Walker, investigating basic issues of interaction in 3D virtual environments.

During three of my quarters here I supported myself by teaching the College of Computing's introductory computer graphics course. You can see some of our multimedia courseware group's work for this course by following this link. I have also been a teaching assistant for the graphics course, as well as several different artificial intelligence courses.

I'm Link Fellow, and was supported from fall '93 through the summer of '94 by a $17,000 Link Foundation fellowship for my work on Real-time distortion correction for head-mounted displays.

Of course, regardless of where the money actually comes from, a graduate student's advisor is the true source of his support. My advisor is Dr. Larry Hodges.
