Arthur Murphy

Arthur R. Murphy
received a BA in English Literature from
Middlebury College
and an
MS in
Information Design and Technology from Georgia Tech.
Between 1980 and 1995, he taught principles of computer programming
and information technology to adults with physical disabilities. This work,
involving many blind and visually impaired students, inspired his interest in
auditory and tactile interfaces.
He is a research scientist at the Center for Rehabilitation Technology
within the College of Architecture. Current projects involve the
development of interactive learning systems.
