Spiritual care is an important aspect of palliative care. Yet, there are few educational tools to prepare nurses and doctors for conversations about their patients' spirituality. With the intention of being used as part of a larger education program- this chatbot simulates patient responses to help the user practice these often delicate conversations. The chatbot's responses were created using social media data mined from online support groups.

Asthma-nauts is a tablet based gamified interactive experience that seeks to engage and educate pediatric Asthma patients and their parents in Hospital Emergency Departments about management and control of the disease. The child is an Asthma-naut(astronaut) who explores an AR universe using a jetpack called the lung machine. Each planet is a module where the child learns about Asthma, it’s triggers, symptoms and treatment through educational videos. The lung machine is powered by knowledge, motivating the child to learn about Asthma to progress through the experience.

Conversations with employees and volunteers at the Proctor Creek Stewardship Council in Atlanta, GA revealed that contamination in urban creeks is a major problem. This is especially an issue when neighborhoods sit along sections of the creek that get contaminated and dumped in. Most often, this happens in lower-income neighborhoods where many residents are unaware of trash/recycling guidelines, the local government doesn't feel accountable for the residents, and local businesses view the area as grounds for dumping.
