Job Title:
Senior Technical Software Architect
Job Type:
Full Time
Atlanta, GA
Qualifications/Job Description:

Atlanta, GA

$100,000 - $125,000 DOE

SimplePart is looking for an experienced Technical Architect with a background in full stack development and strong eCommerce and SQL experience. You will join our front end platform team, taking a lead role in strategy and architecture for the platform, driving product direction, mentoring other team members, and tackling the toughest of our technical challenges. As one of the team’s leaders, you will bring a breadth of experience and ideas - working with our Product team to incorporate a vision for the architecture, and use it to navigate challenging technical decisions.

Our front end platform team owns our back office as well as our responsive retail interface - used monthly by more than 5,000,000 shoppers. We are a data company, building product catalogs and retail websites for the world’s leading car brands to sell parts and accessories to owners, working on their own cars. Our platform team creates the leading edge of that experience, making it easy for folks to find the parts they need.

This is a hands-on position, working in short (two week) sprints building big, meaningful things with a direct, immediate and visible impact. You will be working in .NET and SQL as a part of a team of three other developers, focused exclusively on our platform. You will help us build crisp, clean, interactive experiences to make complex catalogs of millions of products accessible and easy to understand for normal people. We have big work ahead of us, and need people who want to take an active role, and have a seat at the table.

We will look to you to maintain a “big picture” view of current and future product offerings and architecture, to ensure we build toward an overall vision and strategy. Working with our Product teams, we will ask you to be a part of scoping, prioritizing and planning work for team sprints - as well as helping our team develop standards and process to improve quality and timeliness of delivery.

We are a nimble, bootstrapped company - and have consistently grown 50-100% year-over-year for the last decade. Our customers are the world’s leading car companies (Subaru, Toyota, VW, Audi and Volvo to name a few) - so an interest in cars, motorcycles, motorsports or powersports is a big plus.

Strong candidates will be able to show us:

8+ years technical leadership and architecture experience in software development

6+ years of ASP.NET, C#, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and SQL Server

5+ years e-commerce experience

A drive to learn new things. Demonstrate development experience “for fun” outside of work.

Ability to communicate and apply common architectural design patterns across a wide range of technical problems

Experience building for the web using AJAX, CSS, jQuery and the latest technologies.

Experience and clear understanding of how to plan and execute within iterations and sprints

Experience with VS, TFS, Git , and VSTS

Automotive Industry Knowledge or Experience
