Located 36 miles east of Atlanta on Emory’s original campus in Oxford, Georgia, Oxford College of Emory University invites applications for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor of Computer Science to begin August 2019. All areas of specialization will be considered. The successful candidate will be a leading force in significantly extending and shaping Oxford College’s existing computer science program. This person will teach introductory and sophomore-level computer science courses for majors and non-majors, and will develop upper-level courses for majors. Possibilities exist for applicants interested in cross-disciplinary collaboration and course development. Candidates must be committed to outstanding teaching and continuing scholarly activity.

A PhD in computer science or related field completed by time of appointment, a commitment to teaching excellence, experience working with undergraduates, and an active engagement in scholarship. An ability to work effectively in a liberal-arts program with a diverse student body and faculty is desired.
