SUMMER INNOVATION INTERN DATES: May 28, 2019 - Aug 2, 2019
Software Engineering interns in the Technology Innovation program devote time to prototyping and experimenting with technology to improve the lives of Customers, Operators and Team Members. In this internship, you’ll leverage technology like BlockChain, IoT, Machine Learning and more to create innovative technology solutions. Projects previous interns have contributed to include Google Glass, mobile app development (Chick-fil-A One), Computer Vision and automation. You'll connect with a mentor for career coaching throughout the program and experience leadership opportunities that will personally and professionally develop you.
ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Chick-fil-A’s Technology Innovation Internship launched in 2017 as a way to partner with students on experimental projects. This internship operates on a semester basis in Chick-fil-A's Technology Innovation Center, located Midtown Atlanta. The Technology Innovation internship is a separate program from Chick-fil-A’s traditional, summer internship program at the Support Center (corporate headquarters).
This is a paid opportunity
Part-time (minimum 20 hours per week) and full-time (40 hours a week) opportunities available
Must have housing and transportation (housing not provided)
Internships include the opportunity to return for additional semesters
Students interested in Chick-fil-A. Students interested in Chick-fil-A’s traditional Summer IT Internship at the Support Center (corporate headquarters) should apply to the 2019 Summer IT Internship position.
This internship operates on a semester basis in Chick-fil-A's Technology Innovation Center, located in the Biltmore Hotel. We offer full and part-time internships. Participants must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree to be eligible for the program. Applicants interested in Chick-fil-A 's traditional Summer IT Internship should apply to the 2019 Summer IT Internship position.
Assignments may include but are not limited to the following:
Investigate new technologies and services
Design, develop and deploy software solutions including mobile and web apps
Build prototypes and experiment with technological solutions for use in Chick-fil-A Restaurants
Provide a technical perspective of software solutions to Analysts and other IT Support Center staff
Provide demonstrations and presentations of solutions to key stakeholders
Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other applicable technical field with a minimum 3.0 GPA
Current Junior or Senior
Must have housing and transportation (Chick-fil-A will not provide housing)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent interpersonal and team collaboration skills
Good written and oral communication skills
Required Level of Education
Enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other applicable technical field
Minimum GPA (4.0 Scale)
