ICE is a partnership between the Georgia Department of Education and the College of Computing at Georgia Tech. This partnership was announced in June 2004 by Georgia Superintendent of Schools, Kathy Cox and Dean Richard DeMillo of the College of Computing at Georgia Tech.

ICE challenges the stereotypes surrounding modern computing by offering workshops aimed at grade school children as well as teachers. Our workshops focus on media computation such as the manipulation of pictures, video, and sound through computers.
We are also home to the Operation Reboot program, which tranforms unemployed IT workers into high school computing teachers.

Our mission is to increase the number of qualified computing teachers, as well as the number of diversity of computing students in Georgia.
