Uninstall CQ System Software for NT
Overview
The uninstall procedure consists of two basic steps:
From the Start Menu, select the JCQ folder, and select the Remove
CQ Configuration option. This will run the configuration program UNINSTALL_CQ.bat
in the CQ installation directory. It will remove the CQ services that were set up during
installation, and it will drop the CQ database. A GUI will appear to guide you through
several tasks, most of which are done automatically.
In the Control Panel, select Add/Remove Programs icon. Select
CQEngine, and click the "Remove" button. This
will delete all of the CQ files from your system.
If you have any trouble with uninstallation, please email the CQ team at cq@cc.gatech.edu
WARNING:
- In order for the uninstall process to run smoothly you must
first execute the "Remove CQ configuration" and then "Uninstall program
files". If you do not follow this sequence, many files will not be removed from your
system, and you may have difficulties the next time you install the CQ System.
- Uninstalling the CQ system removes the cqmeta database and the sample database.
- Uninstall the CQ system stops and restarts MS SQL Server
- The CQ engine must be uninstalled by the same user account as the one that installed it
(preferably the administrator). Otherwise the services will not be stopped and
removed.
