  3. After successfully completing the steps above, you may install and monitor CQs as described here

Step One: Download and Install the CQ System

  1. Download the CQ System software for NT from here
  2. Unzip the file into a temporary directory
  3. Execute Setup.exe(under InstallCQ sub-directory in the temporary directory)
  4. Follow the instructions in the installation script
  5. After installing the software, go to Step Two.

Step Two: Configuration

From the Start Menu, select the JCQ program group, and select "Configure CQ System" option.  This will run the configuration program configCQ.bat in the CQ installation directory. The configuration script will set up all the parameters necessary to run CQ on your system. A GUI will appear that guides you through several configuration tasks, most of which are done automatically.

If you have any trouble with installation, please email the CQ team at cq@cc.gatech.edu

Since this is a server program that relies on outside information sources (e.g. the MS SQL Server), some configuration is necessary to make the package operational.

Running the software

The server software should have been installed as an NT service, so it will always be available, even after a machine reboot.

To run the client software (which allows you to install new CQ's, query the database, and monitor the progress of your installed continual queries):

Demo Data: The CQ system does not ship with active CQ's. In order to see any execution history, or demonstration CQ's, you must install some of the examples.
