The setting is Atlanta's Piedmont Park in 1909. Mama, the narrator of the story, sits in the upper right hand corner. She tells the bittersweet love story of Reverend Stillwood and Molly Mason, who embrace in the center of the quilt, to her daughter Aleathia, who is also in love with the Reverend. |
